Whether you want one drop-in class or ‘playshop’ or a full rehearsal period culminating in a final production, our acclaimed teaching artists have the skills and training to give your students a thrilling experience of Shakespeare’s language and stories.

What you provide...
Students!
We prefer group sizes of 6-15 per teaching artist. You are responsible for enrollment and attendance. Students should have basic English language speaking skills.
Space!
Appropriate classroom space (per group of students), a final performance space (that allows all audience members to clearly see the performers), and somewhere to store materials between classes.
Time
A 90-minute minimum class period.
What we provide...
Teachers!
Our pre-screened & background-checked teaching artists are highly trained working professional artists, often with advanced degrees in theater and/or education.
Curriculum!
Including worksheets, and scripts indexed to California State Standards or other learning objectives.
Materials!
Craft and other supplies, including costumes, props and scenery (if your residency includes a production).
Insurance!
All appropriate insurance.
What a Residency Might Look Like...
10 sessions, 2 weeks, 30-40 hours per week
Up to 42 Students
Classes in Voice, Movement, and Discovering Shakespeare
30 minute production of play (1 play per 14 students)
The "Camp" Model
The "Residency" Model
25 sessions, 10 weeks 2-6 hours per week
Up to 50 students
Project Learning Centered on a Production of a Play
40 minute final performance (1 play per 14 students)
The "Intensive" Model
1-3 Sessions 2-6 hours total
Up to 35 students Ages 10 and up
